"The Brandon Lewis Trials "Games" is a refreshing and stimulating concept album that contains an inventive sound palette created through a highly developed mix of acoustic and electric elements enhanced by musical studio effects. The sonic landscape takes the listener on a journey that for most will be unfamiliar, but intriguing and adventuresome. When listening to the overall sound, it is not difficult to envision an artist using a wide variety of color combinations that derive very singular and specific ideas. Brandon (trumpet) and his group (Kevin Theodore, piano; Ben Carr, bass; David Frazier Jr., drums; Zach Koeber, tenor sax on "Lights") are on to something special in terms of conveying emotion and imagery and have found an exciting voice with which to express themselves within these well-conceived compositions.

Brandon started his formal advanced training in trumpet and music performance at the University of Northern Iowa, and then moved to New York City to continue his freelance music career and received a Masters Degree in Jazz Performance from SUNY Purchase College."
